Expert Workshop on Guidelines for Aquaculture Certification, 28-29 February, London

Aquaculture Certification

An expert workshop on the development of aquaculture certification guidelines was held in London, convened in collaboration with the Seafood Choices Alliance and NACA with the support of the Department for International Development, UK.

This workshop, the fourth in a series of regional consultations, was an opportunity for dialogue between the guidelines developers, producing country representatives and stakeholders in Europe, predominantly the major retail buyers and processors. The workshop partners sought views, input and discussion on the current draft of the guidelines from the major buyer/retailer perspective and, through the inclusion of representatives of the major producing countries, to explore opportunities for cooperation across supply chains.
