Greetings ,

Mud pond :

How is your preference mechanical force? or Man power?

If is by man power then you can start immediately by collecting lumps of the mud and place it on pre determine line which would be its bunds /banks .
Place "a gate" provision on the lower side of the slope .
The gate design could depend on pond size ,heibht, species etc

As the lumps are placed see that no gap is keept between two lumps by proper compression ,to avoid leakage/seepage im future.

In mechanical drying is done then ploughing /tilling .the dry mud is mechanically lifted and drop on the pre determine lines of ponds walls .
Tractors are used for this job sometimes catterpillar tractors are used for scrapping the bottom and pushing the soil for bunds formation .
Its depends on local skill available
keep us informed
Tks Regards
